Are you barking mad about dogs? A dog festival is coming to Dublin next month.
To celebrate a decade of rescuing and rehoming dogs in Ireland, Dogs Trust will host the inaugural “Dogs Trustival” at their Rehoming Centre in Finglas on Sunday, August 18th.
The new family festival will include training displays with some of the Dogs Trust residents, a 'Tailwagger Walk' market full of doggie retail and exhibitions and street food vendors.
There'll also be a children's 'Education Corner' with face-painting, doggie Agony Aunts and a 'Pup Up' photo booth with Pawtrait.
The 'Museum of Modern Bark' will see a host of well-known Irish artists, including Audrey Hamilton and Morgan exhibit dog portraits that will be raffled at the event.
If you're bringing your own pooch to the event, there'll be a designated area for your dogs to have fun and explore.
Main Tent
The main tent will be hosted by TV presenter and author Andrea Hayes.
There'll be music from Irish acts including Hudson Taylor as well as a magician and face painters.
The main tent will also feature the charity's very own 'Dog Tales with Andrea Hayes'. The competition will be a chance for people to tell the audience what their dog means to them.
The competition will be judged by Irish model Holly Carpenter, TV presenter Maia Dunphy and Dogs Trust Head of Operations Karla Dunne.
Tickets for Dogs Trustival are on sale here.
