It doesn't get more Irish than this!

John McDonagh gave a young Irish lad a lift to the airport back in 2013. The man, Shane Gaffney, had not enough money for the fare, so instead gave him an IOU for two pints in his family pub in Dublin.

And of course, much to Shane's unexpectation, the New York taxi driver followed it through!

Speaking of the whole situation John revealed that it's cost him over 700 dollars to come over to our capital city to collect his free pints!

John revealed that his parents are actually Irish and that he comes back twice a year, so as the saying goes...Why not kill two birds with one stone?! Or, two pints for that matter...

John also chatted about his one man play that he's brought to Dublin called "Off The Meter". The play is about his 40 years of driving a yellow cab through the mean streets of New York, which is now at the Seán O'Casey Theatre.
