There have been a lot of calls for Matt to have been given more game time for the boys in green following his main stay in a hugely impressive Wolves team over the past two years as they won the championship and had a strong start to their premier league campaign this season. However, the Dubliner has paid no notice to the screams for his international involvement.

“I’ve actually not seen that much to be honest.”

“I guess my parents might send me the odd article.”

“But that is all I have seen.”

Also, on this morning’s ‘Now That’s What I Call Sport’ we were joined by Leo Cullen, James Lowe and Shane Byrne following Leinster’s dominant 52-3 win over Wasps in the Champions Cup. Brian Fenton, Chris Crummey and Eve O’Brien joined us following the release of the new Dublin GAA jersey. Heather Boyle spoke to us from Buenos Aires with updates on how Team Ireland are doing at the Youth Olympics and Waterford manager Alan Reynolds spoke following a horrendous attack he suffered earlier this year.
