Sex and the City star Willie Garson's death will not feature in new spin-off series And Just Like That...

The 57 year-old, who played Carrie Bradshaw's friend Stanford Blatch passed away from pancreatic cancer back in September.

Producer of the original and upcoming series Michael Patrick King revealed that nobody dies in the new series.

Speaking to the New York Times, King said that the reboot wouldn't incorporate Willie's passing as "it wasn't charming. And I knew that the audience would know."

Rumours around specific characters' deaths have been rife since the spinoff was announced.

With Kim Cattrall not returning to play Samantha, many speculated that her character would be killed off.

When sources debunked the Samantha theory, others suspected Mr Big would die from a heart attack.

However, King's comments seem to put those rumours to rest.

And Just Like That... will be available on demand on Sky Comedy and to stream on NOW from December 9th.
