Line Of Duty season 6

Line Of Duty bosses have confirmed that season 6 will have an extra episode!

Returning to our TV screens very soon, the latest instalment of the hit crime drama will have seven episodes rather than six.

Before Christmas, the BBC revealed that the forthcoming season was due before March 2021.

Season 2 is kicking off on BBC One this Saturday, 6th February, running for six weeks.

If we had to look into our crystal ball, we're predicting that the new season will begin on Sunday 21st March.

Kelly McDonald will join the cast this time around as Detective Chief Inspector Joanne Davidson.

She is under investigation by AC12 for unorthodox behaviour during an unsolved murder case.

Show writer and creator Jed Mercurio described her as "the most enigmatic adversary AC-12 has ever faced".
