A third post mortem exam is underway on the body of one of the three men found dead on a farm in Co Cork.

It’s believed Mark O’Sullivan had been killed in his bedroom, in an apparent murder suicide near Kanturk.

So far two of the post mortems on the O’Sullivan family have been completed.

Note

The bodies of 59 year old Tadhg and his youngest son 23 year old Diarmuid were found in a field near the house and it’s believed they each had suffered a single gunshot wound and a note was found close to one of them.

The older son 26 year old Mark was found dead in the house and his post mortem exam is underway this afternoon.

It’s believed Mark had been killed in his bedroom and it’s unclear which man shot him and what happened after that.

Row

Gardai are trying to establish whether it was two murders and one suicide or whether it was one murder and two suicides.

The ongoing inquiry is that the triple shooting stemmed from a row about inheritance and land.

The local community is supporting Ann O’Sullivan, the men’s mother and Tadhg’s wife, whose entire family died in this horrific tragedy.
