St Patrick's Weekend
With St Patrick's Weekend finally here, we've found all the great events going on this weekend in the City.
Everything from family friendly events, to craft beer festivals just for the adults.
Children's Art Workshop
This Saturday in The National Botanic Gardens there are two events taking place for kids.
First off, they have a creative workshop especially for younger children taking from 11am - 12:30.
Children are encouraged to take a closer look at the natural world all around them to inspire fun art-making activities.
This cost €10 per child, suitable for 4-7 year olds and booking is essential.
Alternatively for older children, there is a guided discovery of the natural world where you can observe, engage, and be inspired by your surroundings.
Participants in this art programme will be encouraged to use materials in fun and interesting ways while taking inspiration from the world of plants on show at Glasnevin.
Cost is also €10 per child and it gets underway AT 2pm. Suitable for 8-12 year olds.
Festival Village
This St Patrick's Weekend, Merrion Square will be transformed into a bustling Festival Village, with three days of fantastic events, fun adventures and glorious food stalls and much more.
No Irish Village is complete without a Gaeltacht! Whether you’re a gaeilgeoir or keen to learn the cúpla focal, you’re sure to be entertained with a series of fun and informative shows in the Irish language.
Feast on global flavours at the world food market Tuck into the very best of Dublin’s street food scene with Irish and international dishes using the very best produce.
This is a family free event. Open each day this weekend from midday - 6PM.
City at Play Funfair.
From waltzers and bumper cars to old time carousels, there’s something for everyone at the City at Play: Funfair!
A firm Festival favourite, the Funfair will light up the city with colourful carnival fairground attractions.
Suitable for all the family, enjoy the thrills and spills of the Funfair experience!

Allteck Craft Beer & Food Fair
Ireland’s largest craft brews gathering returns to the Convention Centre Dublin for St. Patrick’s weekend.
Each year Alltech Brews features the best of Irish craft beers, ciders and spirits all under one roof.
What better way to celebrate than by sampling some of Ireland’s best craft brews, listening to live music acts, tasting delicious local food offerings and watching Ireland play Six Nations Rugby on three of the largest screens in Dublin.

Aware Harbour2Harbour Walk
The annual Harbour2Harbour Walk takes place along the scenic Dublin Bay on St Patrick's Day 2019.
It's an alternative way to celebrate St Patrick's Day. You can choose to walk from Dún Laoghaire Harbour to Howth Harbour or vice versa, and the 16 mile/26km route is suitable for most fitness levels.
The walk takes participants along the spectacularly scenic Dublin Bay and more than 2,000 people are expected to take part.
Don't forget to stop off at the Halfway Hooley hosted by Dublin Port Company
The waking begins at 10:30 this Sunday. Get your tickets here, with all money going to Aware.
St Patrick's Parade 2019
Line the streets of Dublin this weekend for the 2019 edition of the parade.
It all kicks off at 12 noon, but it is strongly advisable to be at the parade route before 10:00 on the day.
The route gets crowded fast and the best spots will be gone well before noon.

Fingal St Patrick's Day Parades
The streets of North Dubllin will come alive this weekend with the Fingal St Patrick's Day Parades.
Fingal County Council have organised official parades:
- Swords - 11AM
- Balbriggan - 2PM
- Blanchardstown - 3PM
Other parades have been organised by community groups:
- Rush - 1PM
- Lusk - 1:30PM
- Skerries - 3PM

Paddy’s Night in support of Comic Relief
Following the last two phenomenal Paddy's Night gigs the cream of Irish comedy is once again gathering on March 17th to raise much needed funds for Comic Relief.
Spearheaded by comedian Deirdre O'Kane and TV producer Darren Smith, Paddy's Night in support of Comic Relief will feature a who's who of the Irish comedy scene including: Tommy Tiernan, Deirdre O'Kane, Pat Shortt, Jason Byrne, Bernard O'Shea, Neil Delamere, Kevin McAleer, Eleanor Tiernan, Waterford Whispers News, Colm O'Regan and David O'Doherty.
