Sean O’Brien and Ian Madigan could both play for the Irish Wolfhounds against the England Saxons this week.
O'Brien's recovery from a shoulder injury is coming along well, so he may be fit enough to start on Friday.
That would end a 14 month injury hell for the flanker and is a timely boost ahead of the Six Nations.
Madigan, meanwhile, could start, as he looks to get some match practice in at out half, ahead of the opening Six Nations game against Italy.
He has a good chance of starting there, with Jonathan Sexton and Paddy Jackson set to miss the game through injury.
Madigan is competing with Munster's Ian Keatley for the Number 10 jersey against Italy.
Meanwhile, scrum-halves Eoin Reddan and Conor Murray are now both expected to be fit for the Italy game.
They had been doubts with knee and neck problems.
Not such good news for Cian Healy, though.
His recovery from a long term hamstring injury hasn’t been as quick as O’Briens.
So he is unlikely to be fit for the Irish Wolfhounds game or the Italian clash.
But he is still targeting a comeback during the Six Nations.
