It's been a helluva a week for MMA news some good, some bad but always interesting.

European and Irish MMA fighters will be delighted that Cage Warriors have announced a date for their first show in almost a year and a half.

The promotion's former champs include Conor McGregor, Neil Seery, Cathal Pendred (recently retired), Steve Ray and Nicholas Dalby all who currently ply their trade in the UFC.

UFC 196 is currently without a main event after first Cain Velasquez withdrew due to injury and then Fabricio Werdum dropped out.

Stipe Miocic had stepped in to face champion Werdum but less than 24 hours later the fight was off. Werdum is claiming injury while Miocic's camp are calling foul.

Last week Conor McGregor again wowed the MMA world and beyond with his virtuoso performance at the UFC 197 press conference.

On March 5th The Notorious will make history if he can beat lightweight champ Rafael Dos Anjos to become the UFC's first active dual weight champion.
