Shamrock Rovers versus Bohemians is one of the biggest games of the year in the SSE Airtricity League and Tallaght Stadium hosts the first clash of the season between the Dublin rivals tonight at 8pm.

The fact the former Bohemians manager, Pat Fenlon, is now boss of their fiercest rivals adds a little bit more spice to the occasion.

Rovers are flying high in second place having only dropped points against Cork in their last home game while Bohemians suffered their first defeat of the season when they lost to Dundalk on Tuesday night and lie a point behind in third.

Tonight promises to be a tight affair with four of the last six meetings ending in a draw while the home team have failed to beat the Phibsborough club in Tallaght since March 2012.

Bohemians are without long-term absentees; defender Dan Byrne (cruciate) and midfielder Dave Mulcahy (calf) but a big blow with centre-half Anto Murphy suspended following his red card against the Lilywhites last time out.

Fenlon will be hoping to welcome back striker Danny North (knee) who missed the last two games while full back Luke Byrne (hamstring) also missed the winning trip to Sligo Rovers on Tuesday.

St Patrick's Athletic are not in action until tomorrow when they make the trip to Jackman Park to face Limerick.
