After a spell as a professional boxer, as well as playing rugby league for New Zealand, Sonny Bill Williams will be returning to rugby union.
He signed a two year deal today which starts in 2015.
Williams has one year remaining on his contract with the rugby league union of New Zealand, but will then link up with the super rugby side, the Chiefs.
And while his first priority will be to impress with his club, it seems that this decision was made with the 2015 rugby world cup in mind.
It is rumoured that Williams will also make himself available for the New Zealand 7's team that will travel to Rio de Janeiro for the 2016 Olympic games.
