Snooker legend Ronnie O'Sullivan was told to pull up his socks at the Crucible today after he was found in breach of snooker etiquette.
The five-time world champ whipped off his shoes, which he complained were hurting him, and played some of his first round match against Craig Steadman in his socks.
O'Sullivan followed in the footsteps of early 20th century Major League Baseball player Joe Jackson, who was known as 'Shoeless Joe', after he removed his cleats during a game due to blisters on his foot.
The Essex native even asked the audience if anyone was willing to swap a pair of size 8s but he eventually borrowed a pair from tournament director Mike Ganley after being informed that he was in breach of the dress code.
The only whiff Steadman got was that of defeat after O'Sullivan opened a 7-2 lead in the first session.
