Tottenham were the biggest casualty on the opening day of FA Cup third round action. They lost 2-0 at fiece rivals Arsenal.

Santi Cazorla and Tomas Rosicky getting the goals to sink their north London rivals.

Aston Villa were the biggest name to fall to lower league opponents. They were beaten 2-1 at home to League 1 side Sheffield United.

Leeds also limped out after losing 2-0 at League 2 side Rochdale.

Seamus Coleman scored his sixth goal of the season as he helped Everton beat QPR 4-0 at Goodison Park.

Newcastle led Cardiff City 1-0 at St. James Park, but in his first game in charge, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer brought on Jamie Noone and Frazier Campbell who both scored to send the Welsh side into the fourth round.

Norwhich and Fulham drew 1-1 at Carrow Road.

Southampton just about got past Championship side Burnley, winning 4-3 at St. Mary's.

Stoke City beat Leicester 2-1.

At the Hawthorns, it's ended West Brom 0. Crystal Palace 2. Gayle and Chamakh with the goals there.

And the Cup holders Wigan were held at home by the MK Dons. It finished 3-3 at the DW Stadium.

And Manchester City could only secure a draw at Ewood Park against Blackburn Rovers. It finished 1-1, and they will do it again at the Etihad.
