The Egyptian FA have arranged for a private jet for Mo Salah to return to Liverpool.

Salah - along with Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny - is in isolation in Egypt having tested positive for COVID-19 last Friday.

Salah missed both of Egypt's Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers with Togo, while Elneny tested positive after the first of those two games.

Both players' most recent swabs returned positive on Thursday.

The Egyptian FA say they've been in constant contact with both Liverpool and Arsenal regarding the players' positive cases.

The players are due to depart the country's Hurghada Airport on Friday.

Salah will almost certainly miss Sunday's Premier League visit of Leicester City to Anfield, and most likely the Champions League meeting with Atalanta.

It's hoped Thiago Alcantara and Fabinho will be fit for Sunday's game.

Both players have been out injured amid an injury crisis at the Premier League champions.

But Thiago and Fabinho were both pictured conducting gym work at the club's new Kirkby training base.
