Robbie Keane Surgery To Keep Him Out For 4-6 Weeks

Martin O'Neill has some more attacking issues to worry about, as preparations continue for Euro 2016.

Robbie Keane is the latest Irish international to have an operation on his knee.

The Irish skipper posted a photo on his instagram account last night of his leg in a cast.

And his club LA Galaxy have confirmed “Keane underwent successful surgery on his right knee Thursday afternoon in Los Angeles”.

“The Galaxy captain is expected to miss 4-6 weeks”

The Euros kick off in France in 10 weeks.

The news comes after Jon Walters also confirmed yesterday that he is recovering from having a knee operation.

That will keep him out for up to six weeks.

And a report in today's Irish Daily Star says Shane Long has had an MRI scan on a niggling problem in his left knee.
