Spanish giants Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid have both been banned by FIFA from signing any new players for the next two transfer windows.
They have been penalised for breaking rules about international transfers of minors.
The ban starts in the summer, so doesn't cover the current transfer window, which ends at the end of January. However, they will be unable to buy players this summer or in the transfer window in January 2017.
Both clubs were also fined.
Barcelona received a similar punishment in 2014 for breaking the same rules, with their ban only ending earlier this month.
Both Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale have been linked with moves away from Real Madrid this summer, but any potential moves could now be scuppered by this ban.
