The RDS has been granted permission to redevelopment its main arena.
When finished, the venue will be able to hold bigger concerts and more Leinster rugby fans.
The €26M upgrade of the Anglesea stand will increase capacity for rugby matches to 21 thousand and provide new facilities for concerts and other events.
It involves the demolition of the existing stand as well as the removal of a terrace surrounding the clock tower.
A floodlit grandstand with 3 levels will also be build.
However not everyone is happy - the Anglesea Road Residents Association intends to appeal the decision to an Bord Pleanala.
