St Patrick’s Athletic go in search of a 4th win in a row in the SSE Airtricity League on Thursday. They welcome champions and FAI Cup holders Dundalk to Richmond Park.

The Saints have enjoyed a fine run of form, registering wins over Longford Town, Bohemians and Shamrock Rovers ahead of this one.

The only blot on their copy book was an opening night defeat to Galway United. Leading marksman Christy Fagan’s been in fine form.

He’s netted four goals in as many games. The Saints also have a fine defensive record. They haven’t conceded since the opening night.

Goalkeeper Brendan Clarke was a guest on 98FM’s League of Ireland podcast this week. He told Darren Cleary that they’ve made big strides since that upset against Galway:

Dundalk will be aiming for a response after they were beaten 1-0 by Cork City in their last outing.

That was their first League defeat in almost a year, before that they had been beaten since the 5th of June 2015.

John Mountney is confident they can bounce back, but knows the Saints are a formidable side. He's been speaking to 98FM's League of Ireland podcast:
