To rugby, and a full Irish squad trained today in Carton House, ahead of Saturdays test with Samoa.

Paul O'Connnell and Sean O'Brien had been struggling with niggles, but both togged out today and look to be in line for a test spot.

O'Connell looked like a major doubt as battled against a calf strain. But after taking part today, looks the most likely to lead out the Boys in Green on Saturday.

New forwards coach John Plumtree stated today how important O'Connell is to the squad, and that he will be given every chance to make the team.

He did say however, that it's unlikely that the former Lions captain will last the full 80 minutes.
