Manchester United needs to get their project right - Mino Raiola

Paul Pogba's agent Mino Raiola says the French midfielder is still happy at Manchester United, but hasn't ruled out a move in the summer.

Pogba is currently sidelined after undergoing ankle surgery this month but is expected back in February.

The 26-year old has only managed 8 appearances in all competitions this season, while his lack of Europa League action had fuelled talk of a move away in January.

Ankle problems have put the kybosh on a January move it would seem, but Raiola says his situation will be reappraised come the summer, "We need to see in the summer if Paul is still in the plans of Manchester United, and if Manchester United is still in the plans of Paul - but I'm not going to speculate around it now.

But Raiola suggested that United is perhaps not the best environment for his client at the moment, "Everybody knows that the ambition from both parts has not been met the last years - let's be honest about that, about the elephant in the room."

Raiola was also asked about quotes attributed to him in La Repubblica last month suggesting he wouldn't facilitate a move to United for his clients.

The Dutch native said of the Old Trafford club, "I wouldn’t bring anyone there now. They’d also ruin Maradona, Pele and Maldini. Paul needs a team and club like the Juventus team he played in."

A deal for Erling Haaland fell apart, with United apparently unwilling to do business with Raiola.

He's described those quotes in the Italian press as "strong", but added the caveat, "Manchester United needs to get their project right, and otherwise it makes no sense".
