Former Irish international Owen Coyle is back in management.

The former Burnley and Bolton boss has taken the reins at Blackburn Rovers.

Coyle, who played for the Republic of Ireland once in 1994, has signed a two-year contract with the Championship club, replacing Paul Lambert.

Coyle was most recently in charge of MLS side Houston Dynamo.

Meanwhile, Leeds United have appointed Garry Monk as their new head coach.

The former Swansea manager takes over from Steve Evans, who was let go by the club earlier this week.

The 37-year-old has signed a one-year rolling contract and becomes the club’s sixth head coach since Massimo Cellino took charge in June 2014.
