Former Snooker world champion Stephen Lee has been banned for 12 years and ordered to pay forty thousand pounds in costs after being found guilty of match fixing.

An independent tribunal ruled the 38-year-old had deliberately affected the outcome of matches, including one at the World Championship in 2009.

Lee has denied the charges.
