Lampard confirms Bayern Munich's interest in Callum Hudson-Odoi

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard insists he wants Callum Hudson-Odoi to stay at Stamford Bridge but admits the teenager could join Bayern Munich before the transfer window closes on Monday.

The England winger signed a five-year contract with the Blues in 2019 but has been been a target for the European champions for some time.

Hudson-Odi impressed in Chelsea's 4-0 victory against Crystal Palace this afternoon and Lampard says they'll have to see if Bayern make a firm offer in the next 48-hours.

“There is no definitive answer. By Monday we will know the answer," the Blues boss said.

“They might have declared their interest, which is one thing, but as I have just said there in terms of the squad, everything that happens by Monday will be things that are firstly good for us as a club, because Callum is our player, and what Callum wants comes into consideration.

“It has to be right for everybody. At the minute I want Callum as part of my squad, especially with what he offered up today and the second half against West Brom. That is where I am at."

Bayern boss Hansi Flick had earlier revealed that they're interested in completing a deal for Hudson-Odoi.

“I don’t know what will happen. He’s one of the best talents on his position and can play as a winger and even as a striker. That’s why Bayern Munich is thinking about him.”
