Kevin McManamon is now one of the first names on the Dublin teamsheet- according to former Dubs star Ray Cosgrove.

Jim Gavin is getting his charges ready for Sunday's All-Ireland football final against Mayo at Croke Park.

Some memorable performances off the bench, including in the famous All-Ireland final win over Kerry in 2011 and last year’s All-Ireland semi final win over Mayo, have seen McManamon labelled a “super sub”.

However this year, the St Jude’s man has starred in a starting role.

And Cosgrove told 98FM's Derek Ryan that he feels McManamon is a key man in the Dublin setup:

Ray Cosgrove was speaking at the launch of the EirGrid Digital Clock & Scoreboard Competition. EirGrid, the Official Timing Sponsor of Croke Park, are giving one club in each province the chance to win a digital clock and scoreboard.

To enter, log onto www.eirgridgroup.com/eirgrid-time-is-now and submit 200 words as to why your club deserves the prize.
