The Republic of Ireland's chances of qualifying for Euro 2016 have been boosted after two wins in four days, albeit against the weaker teams (Georgia and Gibraltar) in the group.
Those wins added to defeats for Scotland against Georgia and Germany have seen Ireland go third in Group D and four points clear of their Celtic cousins.
That said, the players who spoke after the game were keen to highlight the tougher challenges that lie ahead, knowing that they most likely will need at least four points from their Dublin date with the Germans and the trip to Poland next month.
