Jimmy Gopperth is nearing the end of his time at Leinster, before a move back to England to join Wasps at the end of the season, and he will be missed.

The chirpy New Zealander, no stranger to a bit of spear-fishing, has come in for some unfair criticism from small sections of the Blues faithful but there is no doubt that even they would warm to the man in an instant if they had the chance to meet him.

Despite Ian Madigan's place kicking prowess, Gopperth has more often than not been the first choice number 10 for Leinster since moving from Newcastle.

He will most likely be handed the shirt for this Sunday's crucial European Champions Cup semi-final against Toulon in Marseille and revealed his plans for tackling Mathieu Bastareaud when quizzed by 98FM Sport's Stephen Doyle
