The future of Dublin gaelic football is in good hands with the appointment, last week, of former Dubs skipper Bryan Cullen as the county's new High Performance Director.

Senior manager Jim Gavin admitted to being "excited" to see the double All-Ireland winner take on the new role and also praised the vision of the county board and chief executive John Costello in appointing him.

Cullen, who had been working as a strength and conditioning coach at Leinster Rugby, will be charged with laying out a long-term player pathway from juvenile to senior level.

Gavin was speaking to 98FM Sport's Stephen Doyle after yesterday's O'Byrne Cup win against DCU
