Jamie Heaslip is back in the Ireland team after recovering from the back injury caused by the knee of France's Pascal Pape, who was subsequently suspended for 10 weeks.
It’s the only change to the starting 15 which defeated England last Sunday week.
It means Jordi Murphy, who replaced Heaslip at number 8 for the victory against the English, drops to the bench at the expense of Tommy O’Donnell.
There is still no starting berth for loosehead Cian Healy with Jack McGrath’s excellent performances over the last three matches keeping him in that position.
