James McClean is a doubt for Ireland's Euro 2016 clash with Poland this Sunday, giving Irish manager Martin O'Neill yet another headache on the left.
The Irish winger felt a pain in his ankle after yesterday's training session and sat out today's workout before going for a scan.
O'Neill admitted that losing McClean would be a blow
If McClean misses out it further reduces O'Neill's options on the left with Aiden McGeady fit after a recent knee injury but the Everton winger hasn't played for his club since January 31st.
Stephen Ward's ongoing ankle problem casts a huge doubt over his participation, leaving the Irish boss with just Marc Wilson, Robbie Brady and Cyrus Christie who can fill the left back spot.
Darron Gibson sat out another training session with that sore groin but the rest of the team trained including skipper Robbie Keane who landed last night and new boy Harry Arter.
