The IRFU have unveiled Ireland’s new alternate kit for this season.
The purple Canterbury jersey will replace the traditional green jersey when needed.
It “focuses on the heritage surrounding Irish rugby”, according to the launch press release.
“Taking inspiration from Lansdowne Road, the oldest rugby ground in the world and the historical home of the IRFU, 4 gold bar tacks link to the embroidery on the original Lansdowne Caps.
The jersey is available to pre order from shop.irishrugby.ie and canterbury.com.
