Gary Maguire believes Conor Dooley is not to blame for Dublin’s 1-25 to 0-16 defeat to Kilkenny in the Leinster senior hurling semi-final.
The veteran shot stopper came to the defence of his county and club team mate and the man keeping him out of the Dublin XV at the moment.
Maguire doesn’t believe Dooley can be used as scapegoat for the disappointing 12 point defeat last weekend.
The majority of Dooley’s puc outs fell to Kilkenny men, but Maguire doesn’t believe that was the Boys in Blue only issue on the day:
It wasn’t just fans and pundits that were critical of the Dubs in the wake of that defeat, recently retired Conal Keaney voiced his concerns after the loss.
TheBallyboden St Endas man took to twitter to brand Dublin a tactical shambles after the Leinster semi-final.
Maguire took those comments with a pinch of salt though in isn't too concerned by the harsh words from his former team mate:
Gary Maguire joined team mate Mark Schutte and Dublin Footballers Jonny Cooper and Denis Bastick launch the YUKO Toyota Car Club at the IFSC.
YUKO provides immediate access to top of the range environmentally friendly hybrid vehicles, without the cost or commitment associated with actual car ownership.
The initiative represents Toyota’s commitment to helping create a more environmentally sustainable future. Ireland is the first Toyota market to launch such a programme, and YUKO will initially roll-out in Dublin before expanding rapidly to cover a city wide footprint.
