Henry De Bromhead says he's living the dream.

He trained a one-two in the Cheltenham Gold Cup on Friday afternoon with Rachael Blackmore guiding A Plus Tard to victory ahead of stable-mate and last year's winner Minella Indo.

The win comes three days on from Blackmore winning the Champion Hurdle with Honeysuckle.

Speaking to OTB Sports on Friday evening De Bromhead said he didn't imagine they'd have such success again this year.

"It's unbelievable, I'm delighted.

"Rachael was brilliant on APT [A plus Tard], he ran an absolute cracker, she was very brave coming down the hill, she said she was going to ride him for speed this year and that's what she did.

"I thought Robbie [Power] too was brilliant on [Minella] Indo, he ran a blinder, this is stuff you dream of.

"I thought coming over here that'd it'd be typical to win all these races last year with no one here and I'd flunk completely this year but thankfully we've done really well.

"To win these races is just the stuff you dream of.

"It was such a competitive race, there was so many in there.

"Indo is a brilliant horse as well and there are so many others.

"I just hoped they'd give a good account of themselves and they'd have a bit of luck."

Blackmore created yet more history with the Gold Cup win, becoming the first female to win the sport's most prestigious contest.

De Bromhead said after the race that he's lucky to get to work with her.

"I'm delighted for her, she's an amazing rider, brilliant to work with, a true professional and I feel very lucky to be involved with her."
