If you’re planning on heading to the Ireland v England Six Nations game at the Aviva Stadium this Sunday, do NOT buy your ticket from any unofficial sources.

The IRFU is urging fans only to buy tickets from official IRFU ticket sources, Ticketmaster, approved hospitality partners or directly from local rugby clubs.

It comes after a number of fans were left disappointed, when they lost money after attempting to buy tickets advertised on well-known websites.

The match is a sell-out this Sunday, so there will be no room to accommodate fans who are scammed into buying fake or forged tickets.

Several supporters have already been scammed, some numerous times, as they bid to get much sought after tickets for the potential Championship decider.

IRFU Spokesperson Stephen McNamara has pleaded with fans to only buy through official sources:

"We have been contacted by a number of people who thought they had secured tickets through well-known websites only to find that the tickets did not transpire and their money was lost"

"When the IRFU becomes aware of tickets being resold above face value we follow up with the original purchaser, where sufficient information is available to identify them, and request that they desist from the practice, or their ticket will be cancelled."

"Unfortunately, with the Aviva Stadium completely full we will not be able to accommodate anyone who does not have an official match ticket.”

The match takes place at the Aviva Stadium this Sunday, with kick off at 3pm.
