Former Liverpool defender Daniel Agger has retired from football at the age of 31.
The Dane announced his decision via Twitter earlier.

Agger started his career with brondby, before joining Liverpool in 2006.
He went on to play 232 times in eight years for the Reds, winning the League Cup in 2012.
He rejoined Brondby in 2014, with his contract expiring at the end of the season.
Agger has struggled with injuries recently, which is believed to be the reason for his retirement.
