Celtic surrendered a 2-0 lead as the hoops drew 2-all with Fenerbache in the Europa League.
The Scottish Champions had Celtic Park rocking as two goals inside four first-half minutes looked to have put them on course for three points that would have put them in a strong position in Group A.
Fernandão came off the bench to score twice for the Turkish side. Celtic manager Ronny Deila admitted his side need to work on defending set plays after conceding a goal from a corner.
“We played well in the first half. We started off a little bit nervous, but after 10 to 15 minutes we got more comfortable on the ball, started to play and get crosses in, and we created two very nice goals and I think we had control of the game.”
“Then we made a stupid mistake - as happens in football - but you get punished hard when you are in Europe. We started the second half poorly and they got to 2-2 from a set play - that's something we need to sort out.”
Liverpool recorded a second straight draw in the Europa League as they were held 1-1 at home by Swiss side Sion.
Adam Lallana opened the scoring in the fourth minute but Sion hit back in the 17th minute through Ebenezer Assifuah and held firm to secure a point away from home.
