Another massive margin of victory for the Boys in Blue in the Leinster Championship and yet more calls for a revamping of the provincial and All-Ireland Championships.

There is no doubt that there is now a Grand Canyon-size gap between the elite gaelic football teams in the country and some of the weaker intercounty teams but the GAA do not seem willing to take steps to address the problem.

Many proposals have been suggested over the last couple of years including ones from former Dublin midfielder Ciaran Whelan and most recently by All-Ireland winning manager Jim McGuinness but do current players think the time for change has come?
