On this week's On The Hill podcast, Nicky Devereux joined Stephen Doyle to discuss his club - Ballinteer St Johns.
Devereux has been a loyal club servant since he was a nipper, when his GAA-loving Dad got him involved with the southside outfit.
The pacy defender talks about his hopes for the club to get promoted to Division One while he's also keeping the faith with regard to their chances of a good run in the Dublin Senior Championship this year.
He also pays tribute to a couple of club legends in Angie McNally and his hero Coman Goggins, with whom he got to share a dressing room with!
A member of the Dublin senior panel since he was called up by 2011 All-Ireland winning boss Pat Gilroy, Devereux reveals how an injury scuppered his chances last year but that he is determined to break back in again.
"You'd never close the door yourself anyway, that's for sure!", Nick told Stephen on the podcast and he believes at the age of 27 he has plenty more to give to his county.
