David Forde, Darron Gibson, Eunan O'Kane, David McGoldrick and Callum O'Dowda are the final players to be cut from the Ireland Euro 2016 squad.

Forde is the most unlucky out of that bunch of players considering the fact he played the opening four matches in the qualifying campaign.

Keiren Westwood did not feature in the qualifiers at all and has not played since the friendly against England last summer although he is the only Irish keeper playing regularly for his club, Sheffield Wednesday.

Forde was the first man that manager Martin O'Neill spoke aboutAnother man who would have been expected to make the squad was Harry Arter who picked up a thigh strain in yesterday's training session and O'Neill explained his situationO'Neill has included Robbie Keane (calf) and James McCarthy (hamstring/groin) despite their injury issues but is confident both men will be ok
