Wasps director of rugby Dai Young says the club are in talks with Leinster's Jimmy Gopperth.

The out-half's impending departure will come as no surprise with Johnny Sexton returning to the province next season.

He's expected to replace Andy Goode who is likely to hang up his boots at the end of the season.

"Absolutely Jimmy Gopperth is in the mix," said Young. "There are a number of high-profile 10s that are available this year, and that's all part of the bigger picture.

“We're in discussions with Andy about moving things forward, the same as we are with a number of other players.
