Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has insisted it's business as usual at Old Trafford despite heightened unrest from the club's supporters.
The Norwegian was speaking ahead of Sunday's FA Cup fourth-round match against Tranmere Rovers at Prenton Park.
United suffered 2-0 defeats to Liverpool and Burnley over the last week, with the latter loss greeted with opprobrium by the club's supporters - primarily directed towards United's owners - the Glazer family.
Solskjaer has indicated he retains the trust of United's hierarchy:
"I'm not going to change six or eight or nine, ten months after I got the job and start believing in a different way of doing things. I am going to stick with what I have been trusted to do by the club and hopefully, that will be good enough and that they can see what we're doing is right. You know how football is nowadays, but all my conversations with the club have been positive."
Solskjaer has urged supporters to be patient:
"I think our fans know what we have started on. I have been entrusted to do that job by the club, and for me that rebuild, it doesn't go one way all the time. I have said it so many times, ups and downs. The foundation has to be laid and the culture has to be properly set down. You just don't take the roof off when you are going to rebuild or knock your house down. Jurgen Klopp spent four years building his team and they are doing well now. It's not going to be a quick fix."
Solskjaer is retaining his glass-half-full approach to United's situation:
"It's understandable that supporters sometimes air their frustrations when the results are not great on the pitch. The last week has seen two disappointing results which probably has enhanced that feeling.
"When you have been at this club as long as I have, you get used to the ups and the downs. You have just got to get on with it. When you do well, you don't take off. When you do badly, you know that you have got a job to do, and you have got to do it better next time."
Defenders Eric Bailly and Victor Lindelof could feature against Tranmere.
