Bernard Brogan believes he never would’ve made it as a Dublin senior footballer if not for his brother Alan. The older Brogan (33) brought the curtain down on a 14 season inter-county career yesterday.
He won 17 major honours with Dublin, playing a key role in the All Ireland winning teams of 2011 and 2015.
Bernard told 98FM Sport's Darren Cleary he never would have made the break into the Dublin team if not for the help and guidance of his brother Alan
Bernard Brogan admits he tried to persuade his brother Alan to postpone his retirement plans. His pleas fell on deaf ears as the veteran forward called time on his inter-county career.
Bernard Brogan was at the launch of the Federation of Irish Sport's Annual Review 2015, documenting Ireland's sporting successes nationally and internationally over the past 12 months.
Brogan was appointed as President of the federation in October 2014.
