Sergio Aguero has completed a free transfer to Barcelona.

The Argentina international striker turns 33 on Tuesday, and was out of contract after a decade at Manchester City.

Aguero departed the Premier League club after Saturday's Champions League final defeat to Chelsea, during which he was a second half substitute.

He left as City's all-time record goalscorer, finding the net on 260 times in 390 games.

Aguero has signed a two-year deal at the Camp Nou, with a buyout clause set at €100million.

Free transfers are set to become a recurring theme at Barça this summer with the club mired in debt.

Aguero's former City teammate Eric Garcia is already confirmed to join, with Georginio Wijnaldum and Memphis Depay also rumoured to be on their way.

Wijnaldum provided an update on the potential move as he linked up with the Netherlands squad ahead of Euro 2020.

Out of contract at Liverpool, the 30-year old said, "You can't congratulate me yet. I can't say anything about it yet.

"It's not finished yet, so there is no news yet. We will see.

"I am still busy saying goodbye to Liverpool. I am still emotional because I got a goodbye that not many players got before me.

"Why I left, you will hear again. It will come out. The club also has to do with the fact that I am gone."

Barcelona have been forced to shop on the cheap due to their horrific debt situation.

The Catalan giants have a net debt of €488million, needing a group of European investors last month to dig them out of their short-term issues.
