Despite being knocked off their perch for a few hours, Arsenal remain on top of the Premier League table this evening.

They beat Cardiff City by 2 goals to 0, but they left it late.

Nicholas Bendtner smashed the ball home from close range with just TWO minutes remaining, much to the delight and the relief of the Arsenal fans.

It seemed as though the home side wouldn't make the breakthrough, despite having 20 shots up to that point.

Theo Walcott then added a second in stoppage time to secure the points, and propel the Gunners past Manchester City back to the top of the Premier League table.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was in the stands at the Emiretes, and sat next to Vincent Tan.

It's looks almost certain now, that the former Manchester United striker will be replacing Malkay Mackay as Cardiff manager.
