Not that we really needed science to tell us, but research has shown that Guinness Tastes Better In Ireland.

Known Worldwide and brewed in Dublin city behind St James Gate, the 'black stuff' tastes better in the capital.

Guinness Tastes Better In Ireland

The Institute of Food Technologists carried out a 'Taste survey', where it asked regular citizens to take part.

The research was carried out by 103 people across 71 pubs, in 33 cities around the world.

Topics of study included pub ambiences, atmosphere, look of the pint, taste and after taste.

Each Guinness was given a numerical value based off a visual analogue scale.

The result of the survey reveals a well known fact: That Guinness does not travel well!
