The former head of Anglo Irish Bank David Drumm is due in court in the US today, to ask a judge to release him on bail.
It's as the court there decides whether to send him back to Ireland where he faces criminal charges related to Anglo's collapse.
In filings to the District Court in Boston, lawyers for Mr Drumm say the courts here would likely would grant him bail while awaiting trial on charges including forgery and conspiracy.
Mr Drumm has been in custody for the past month after being arrested by US Marshals at his home near Boston.
