People heading out for a Christmas walk are being advised to dress for the weather.
It's forecast to be wet and rainy later today so Met Eireann is also advising people to get out as early as possible this morning.
Those taking to the sea for a swim are being warned of strong tidal streams and rip currents.
Today's full moon has also brought high tides.
