The Cabinet is meeting this morning to finalise the wording of the question to be put to voters in the gay marriage referendum.
The vote will be held in about four months time and both sides are gearing up to start campaigning.
The Government has already brought forward the timeline for new gay adoption laws, to give full clarity to voters ahead of polling day.
Taoiseach Enda Kenny says that once the Cabinet decides on the wording, it should be published by the end of the week.
