New research shows people living in poorer areas are twice as likely to die from cancer.
It shows death rates in some of the poorest parts of Dublin are more than twice as high as other parts of the city.
The Cancer Society says there were 381 deaths per 100 thousand in Blakestown in North-West in Dublin - compared to 128 in Castleknock South-East.
Spokesperson Kathleen O’Meara says some people are more at risk than others.
