Motorists taking to the roads this morning are being advised that dense fog is affecting visibility in places.
The fog is expected to lift later this morning however Met Eireann have a weather alert in effect for this evening when fog will form again and become dense in parts overnight.
Road-users are advised to slow down and use their fog lights in any affected areas.
