There's been a major breakthrough in the shocking case of cigarettes being stolen from a moving truck.
The haul was taken from the lorry as it made its way down the M7 in March travelling at over 80 kilometres per hour.
One hundred thousand euro worth of cigarettes were stolen from the lorry by thieves that had jumped onto it.
Another vehicle was travelling in front of the truck to slow it down.
Now according to the Herald detectives have seized a vehicle in Tallaght they believed was used in the crime.
Its understood that it has a tape like substance on its bonnet that provided enough grip for the gangsters to jump onto it.
No arrests have been made so far and the haul never recovered.
